A PHP upgrade caused site outage.

The witsend.ca website has been broke due to a PHP upgrade that broke functionality with Joomla 1.5 forcing an upgrade to a new version of Joomla or perhaps a change away from Joomla.
It will take a little time to make a decision on how to proceed.

It is with great disappointment that I have to post that the Wits End website was hacked and the site was off-line since around 18-AUG. It amazes me that people out there have nothing better to do than deface other peoples websites.

Why does the right menu column look funny in some web browsers??

When viewing the Wits End website, it is recommended that you use either Firefox or Safari. We believe other web browsers like Opera should also work. However it seems there are problems with the CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) used by Joomla! 1.5.x template being used on Wits End in Internet Explorer (IE). This problem seems to affect both IE 6 and 7. IE 6 seems to have more problems than IE 7. If you are using an earlier version of IE, the site has not been tested with IE versions older than IE 6.

Actually there is no need for an account if you are visiting Wits End.
The only accounts that Wits End has active are Editor and Administration accounts, used by the site owners and maintainers.
